The Department of cardiology believes in efficacy of personalized approaches to cardiac care. Our cardiology unit is equipped with a CATH lab. This ensures that each individual receives adequate, suitable and cutting – edge intervention. The department of Cardiology provides comprehensive Cardiac care including Interventional Cardiology, Preventive Cardiology services and Intensive Cardiac care.
The Cardiology Department runs its OPD from Monday through Saturday. The Intensive coronary care has 6 beds allotted with round the clock monitoring facilities, defibrillator and ventilator. Well trained Staff Nurses and Medical Officers are available to take care of the Patients.
The facilities available are Electrocardiogram, 2D-Echocardiography including Colour Doppler study, Pediatric Echocardiography, 24 hour Holter monitoring, Treadmill test.
Cardiac Cath Lab was inaugurated on the 23rd May 2013 by our respected Chairman Mr.Dhanasekaran. This cath lab is an ALLURA FC PHILIPS fixed lab.
The functioning of cath lab has been of immense benefit to the proper residing around the hospital as these procedures are done at a much subsidized rate when compared to the usual rates.
We will be able to offer the following services in the cathlab
Adult and Paediatric echocardiogram are done with PHILIPS ENVISOR echocardiography machine. Around 275 echocardiograms are performed every month.
ECG’s are also taken.
Exercise Treadmill testing is routinely performed in our hospital.
Undergraduate classes and classes for Postgraduate General Medicine students are taken regularly.
Classes for nursing staff are also taken periodically.
