The promoters of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College  are successful business group and are in business of transport, computers, contractors and suppliers to the government and many other business and agricultural activities. Besides this the trust is managing Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, Madagadipet, Pondicherry which is a leading self-financing engineering college in Pondicherry state.

Now the trust has sponsored Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College  in Kalitheerthalkuppum, Pondicherry since Nursing forms the backbone to the health services in the health care delivery system.  It recognizes National health goals and is committed to participate in the implementation of National health policies and programmes.  It also recognizes the interdependence of nursing with allied professions and occupations in promoting, maintaining and restoring health and in particular, supervising the auxiliary personnel in the nursing service.
